Course terms
These terms apply when you book a place on one of our live courses. They are short on purpose. If anything is unclear, please ask us before you book.
Who we are
Mathalogue is run by EduArc AI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 16014001), with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. Gordon teaches the classes.
The course
Each course is a small group of 3 to 8 students, taught live online. The course page shows the number of sessions, their length and the timetable, in UK time.
Classes take place on VooV Meeting, or Tencent Meeting for students in mainland China. You need a computer or tablet with a stable internet connection.
Booking and payment
After the placement test and Gordon's report, we send you a link to your family's private course page. You pay for the whole course there, in pounds sterling, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay or WeChat Pay. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
Your child's place is confirmed once the payment has gone through.
If the class does not run
A class runs once 3 students have enrolled. If it does not reach that number, we tell you before the first session and refund you in full.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel for a full refund at any time before the second session. After that, the course is not refundable.
To cancel, message us by email, WhatsApp or WeChat. We process refunds within 7 working days, back to the way you paid. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
Missed or moved classes
If your child misses a class, they can catch up with the recording. If we have to move or cancel a class, we arrange another time, or refund that session if the new time does not suit you.
Recordings
Every class is recorded. The recording shows the teaching (Gordon's screen and voice), not the students' cameras.
Recordings are for families on the course only. We share them through a VooV or Tencent Meeting link on your course page, and they stay available for 3 months after the course ends. Please do not pass them on.
Competitions
We prepare students for competitions such as the AMC and UKMT, but we cannot enter them: families enter through their school or a test centre, and the course page explains how. We do not promise particular scores or awards.
In class
We ask students to join on time and be kind to each other. If a student keeps disrupting a class, we will talk to you first.
Your information
How we use your family's information is explained in our privacy notice.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your rights as a consumer.
